A custom-built Slashbuster tree and weed mulcher is just days away from being shipped to Rodney. The new machine, which fits on the end of a digger to reach hard-to-get gorse and weeds, will be landing in New Zealand just in time for summer.
The Slashbuster uses a novel rotating head that tears through anything it touches – from weeds to cars and houses.
Ken Borg, who ordered the Slashbuster in August says he can’t wait to get his hands on the machine because he’ll be able to clear paddocks of weeds much faster than before.
“A lot of time can be wasted with traditional mulching heads as they can get get jammed up with discarded wire fencing that you often come across in paddocks,” says Ken.
“But this new style of mulcher – the Slashbuster – spins in a circle and has a wire cutter built in – so down time is cut to a minimum.
“We’ll be able to clear paddocks a lot faster, which means a lot less waiting time for our clients.”
The Slashbuster digger attachments can handle almost any task – check the Slashbuster website to see how a car can be destroyed in seconds.
